Step 1- Read all the comments from the previous assignment.
Step 2- Choose one comment which is thoughtful.
Step 3-
First, paraphrase the comment you are responding to: For example: “Mr. Franco thinks that…”
Then challange the nomination.
Write a question about the chosen comment. The question must be: clear, sincere, useful and be the sort of question which leads to more questions. The question you write must complicate the comment’s argument, make the reader of the comment you are questioning think deeper. Stir up some intellectual trouble

Justin Francis of class 723 thinks that Alexander Hamilton is the best person to nominate for the Nobel Peace Prize. Justin Franics said that Alexander Hamilton was the founder of the Federalist party and if the world didn't practice that kind of leader/opposition party split as much as we do today, practically anyone could have run for political office. Justin Francis also thinks that Alexander Hamilton helped preserve our freedom, which to him is more important than winning it.
My question to him is "How does the creation of the Federalist party and the party split preserve our freedom and how is preserving our freedom more important than winning it? Didn't we need to win our freedom first in order to preserve it?"
Leanna Manashvly said that Thomas Jefferson was the Secretary of State and he should get the Noble Peace Prize because he fought over and helped the country’s economy. By fighting over it, that meant arguing with Hamilton. My question to you is, even though the economy is important in the country, what does that have to do with peace?
Also if you’re trying to say that it will prevent chaos In America, how do you know that he fixed the economy?
Justin Francis states that he would nominate Alexander Hamilton for the Noble Peace Prize. Justin also states that he thinks Hamilton preserved our country’s freedom by founding the Federalist Party. This is why Justin nominated Alexander Hamilton. I think that what Justin states about Hamilton is important to our country’s government. My question for Justin is: How is this related to the Noble Peace Prize?
Okay, Genna and Jennifer....
Winning our freedom is important, but what good is it if we can't keep it? Obviously, preserving our freedom can't be overlooked and Alexander Hamilton was a big part of devloping and keeping our freedom. Second, this has everything to do with the Nobel Peace Prize, because by keeping our freedom, Britain saw that we were a formiable country and didn't go to war with us. And when they did in 1812, they got a good American style beatdown. This war had way less casualties to America than the Revolutionary War. In a way, Hamilton helped fend off Britain, preserve freedom and strengthen the country. And Jennifer, the party split stops dictatorial rule, because the dictator would have to be independent or pick a party. As an Independent, ruunning a campaign would be hard, and surely someone in a party (if he chooses one) would see his crazy ideas. My question is: John Adams originally called for the war. He got an alliance with France and ended it. If he wanted a war, and got a former enemy to kill the restof English soldiers, why should he win a prize that has to do with peace?
Leanna Manashvily of class 727 said that Thomas Jefferson should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She states that Thomas Jefferson fought over how the country's economy should grow. But how is this related to the Noble Peace Prize?
As Justin F. said, Alexander is a good choice for the Nobel peace prize. I don't understand why he chose him, because he talked about preserving freedom, and because Britain stopped war with us, don't get how that still relates to the Nobel Peace Prize.
Justin Francis nominated Alexander Hamilton for the Nobel Peace Prize. He says that Alexander found the federalists party and that anyone in particular could have run for the political office if the world did not practice the party splits. He also says that Alexander helped us preserve our freedom.
Freedom is the right to have justice and the right to say or hear etc, anything anywhere. The Nobel Peace Prize is rewarded to someone for the recognition of peace, the non violent and calm environment.
Question: How does freedom relate to peace?
Leanna Manashvily from class 727 said that Thomas Jefferson should be picked for the Nobel Peace Prize. She said that Thomas Jefferson fought over how the country's economy should grow. But how is this related to the Noble Peace Prize? Fighting wouldn’t have done any peace at all.
Chingiz from class 702 believes that Benjamin Franklin should have the nobel peace prize. in the reading, it said NOTHING about benjamin franklin. Where did you get that from?
Justin Francis nominated Alexander Hamilton for the Nobel Peace Prize. He stated clearly that Alexander founded the federalist’s party and that anyone in particular could have run for the political office if the world did not practice the party splits. He also says that Alexander helped endure us to preserve our freedom. Freedom is the right to have justice and rights that cannot be taken away from any individual. The Nobel Peace Prize is rewarded to someone for the endurance of peace and calmness within the homeland. My question is “How do peace and freedom have any relationship what so ever?”
Justin Francis of class 723 said that Alexander Hamilton deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Yes, he was a good man, but if he created the Federalist Party, then split it to preserve our freedom, how does this show anything being gained? It is the president’s job to preserve the freedom of the people. Are you implying that everyone who preserves the people’s freedom should be given a Nobel Peace Prize? Every lawyer, every president, every judge, every police officer? Would I get one when I become a police officer? My question is, if we already have freedom, should we preserve it? Yes, but we should try to get as much as possible. Anybody can preserve but only few may gain.

My question to him is "How does the creation of the Federalist party and the party split preserve our freedom? We needed to win our freedom before preserving it.
I actually agree with Mark Zubok in his comments and nomination for John Adams as the nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. Unfortunately I disagree with his last sentence. He states: “I would nominate John Adams for the Nobel Peace Prize because thanks to him, there was absolutely no violence between the U.S. and the French.” This statement is incorrect because there was violence between France and The United States. There was not a declared war between the two countries but American and French ships began fighting each other in the Caribbean while Adams sent a representative to France to try to end the fighting.
justin F. states that Alexsander Hamilition is the best person to nominate for the Nobel Peace Prize. Justin Francis stated that Alexander Hamilton was the founder of the Federalist party and if the world didn't practice that kind of leader party split as much as we do today, anyone could have run for political office.
Leanna Manashvily of class 727 said that Thomas Jefferson should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She said that Thomas Jefferson fought over how the country's economy should grow, but what does have to do whith the Nobel Peace Prize? The wealth of our country does not have any relation to wars and peace.
Leanna Manashvily of class 727 said that Thomas Jefferson should be awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize. Leanna said that Thomas Jefferson fought over how the country's economy should grow, but that doesn't have to do with the Nobel Peace Prize. The wealth of our country does not have any relation to war and peace. How could he POSSIBLY win it if he focuses on economy and not war and peace?
